Arty & Mat Zo - Rebound
I have a very love-hate relationship with house music. I HATE all the things that house music represents. It represents over-priced clubs where you can't wear sneakers and have to wear dress shirts with like 7 buttons undone and its always $18 dollar beer night. It represents guys with WAY too much hair gel and girls with way too little clothing sweating and acting like douches. But its all acceptable because there's house music on.
Rant over...
Then there's the actual music; once you get past all the nonsense that comes with house music and just listen to the music, you can find some absolutely massive tracks. Last year, there was One by Swedish House Mafia and Take Over Control by Afrojack and now this year, the first track to make me really say wow is Rebound by Arty & Mat Zo. I've enjoyed Mat Zo's production since he remixed Tiesto's Driving to Heaven so I was excited to hear this but wasn't expecting anything this good.
I'll update this when I find a decent download for the song but for now you can purchase the track over at Beatport.
***Thanks to Robby P over at Electronica Oasis for this track***

ReplyDeleteJust wait til all the shit he'll be posting over the summer!
ReplyDeleteBut on a more relevant note, I did a word association with Beam last night...Bro are to Heineken and house music as hipsters are to PBR and dubstep.
Ah, that's what you said. I couldn't tell because we were talking with earplugs on.
